Goof Kloosterman's work revolves around observation. His works look abstract and minimalistic but are the results of a research on processes and transformations. He uses photographic equipment naively; the logical and rational character of the devices are questioned and misused creating abstract footage that lies outside of our usual field of expectations and requires more of an instinctive approach. In doing this Kloosterman works to abandon the border between emotion and the rational.
